In a nation where justice should be universal, thousands of Malawians find themselves trapped by poverty, ignorance, and fear. The justice gap between those who can afford legal services and those who cannot has widened significantly over recent years, creating a system where economic status determines legal protection.
At Corporate Africa International Foundation, we believe that justice is not a privilege but a fundamental right. Our Access to Justice Project specifically targets poor and disadvantaged men and women, minors, people with special needs, and people with disabilities who cannot afford legal services.
The project focuses on five key pillars:
- Providing crucial information about legal rights and how to apply laws
- Helping communities recognize legal problems and take appropriate action
- Connecting individuals with human rights institutions like the Malawi Human Rights Commission and Legal Aid Bureau
- Ensuring understanding of legal outcomes and processes
- Amplifying community voices to protect their rights
Through intensive public awareness campaigns and partnerships with local legal aid organizations, we’re seeing remarkable transformations in communities that once felt powerless against systemic injustice.
Join us in making justice accessible to all. Your support can help bridge the legal divide in Malawi.
